My Story
In 2014, I was a father facing the challenge of hunting for the perfect family daycare and preschool for my youngest son. After many visits to other family daycares and talking to other parents, I realized that finding a high-quality daycare and affordable preschool was not an easy task. Instead of continuing my journey, I decided to start my own preschool and daycare that has all the important qualities that I was searching for. My youngest son has graduated from my preschool and now speaks Spanish and doing very well in the English public school program.
The first school that I started prior to Little Builders International Academy is called Little Builders Preschool and Daycare. Today, Little Builders Preschool and Daycare is a well-established bilingual preschool program in California, Silicon Valley. I came up with the name "Little Builders" believing that nurturing a child is like building a house. The most important aspect of constructing a house is having a solid foundation. At Little Builders preschool and daycare, our goal is to help your child grow healthy both in mind and spirit. We want them to become socially independent, empathetic, kind, caring and develop a passion for learning. This will lead to a strong foundation in their future education.

My Teaching Mission
Teaching is a calling that seeks to make a change in our students' lives. It is not transferring knowledge by telling what we know, but rather having our students learn by doing, experimenting, playing, observing, and trying. Teaching means stepping back and listening to our student’s interests, passions, and struggles. Talking to their parents to learn about their preferences, cultural and religious backgrounds, family values and beliefs, and social environments outside of school. Teaching is therefore guiding and observing our students by creating an environment that is compatible, stimulating and challenging for our students to investigate on their own. Teaching is giving up our own prejudices and respecting students’ voices. Teaching is having fun and allowing students to be free in choosing their own content or activity and participating in the making of the curriculum. We become successful teachers when the children develop a passion for learning on their own. As Maria Montessori said, “The greatest success for a teacher is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist” (Montesorri, 1949).
